Net Protections, Inc. (headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Shin Shibata; “Net Protections”), a provider of BtoB BNPL service, NP Kakebarai, has partnered with Ricoh Leasing Company, Ltd. (headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Tokuharu Nakamura; “Ricoh Leasing”), and begun offering upfront payment as an optional service for NP Kakebarai starting April 8, 2022.

Overview of the Partnership

NP Kakebarai is a BNPL service for BtoB transactions. It guarantees risk-free transactions and helps reduce complicated billing/payment processes between merchants and their clients through credit screening, issuing invoices, collection, confirmation, and payment reminder. Settlement is made to the seller approximately 40 days after the cutoff date, regardless of whether the buyer has paid their invoice.
However, with the new feature (optional), merchants can set the settlement date as early as 10 days after the cutoff date. Even if a payment deadline is set in accordance with industry customs or clients, the settlement is always made on the set date. Thus, merchants can easily predict and manage their cash flow. Also, NP Kakebarai guarantees payment delay and non-payment risk, thus merchants are able to run their business while avoiding the risk.
