Net Protections, Inc. (headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Shin Shibata; “Net Protections”) is pleased to announce that atone, which is well-known for its simplicity and clarity, has been introduced in fotowa, a location shooting matching service offered by PIXTA Inc. (headquartered in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Daisuke Komata; Growth Market of TSE: 3416; “PIXTA”) that connects customers (especifically families with children) with photographers.
Reason for Implementation
fotowa is a CtoC matching platform that connects customers wishing to do on-location shooting sessions with photographers. There have been many inquiries from customers wanting to use payment methods other than credit cards on fotowa, so fotowa was looking to introduce a BNPL service to support diverse user needs.
After evaluating several options for a new payment method, fotowa decided to introduce atone based on the features below.
Features of atone
(1) Supports service and data sales
In addition to the sale of physical goods, atone supports sales of services and technologies as well as products that do not require shipment such as music, videos, and images.
(2) Supports CtoC transactions
With atone, businesses can provide a BNPL in CtoC transactions, which has traditionally been difficult. There are also many customers that are uneasy about registering their credit card information in CtoC transactions. With atone, first-time users can make purchases with peace of mind by going through a simple sign-up process.
(3) Supports advance sales
With photography sessions, there is a long period of time between making the appointment and receipt of the photographs. The timing of finalizing the invoice also varies. For those reasons, BNPL in which customers pay the following month after confirming delivery provides greater peace of mind and convenience than advance payment where payment is made prior to delivery of the photographs.
ます。
atone is a flexible multi-function payment that supports service sales along with a wide range of products, including digital content, and CtoC transactions. Moreover, customers can select convenience store payment, ATM payment, direct debit, and other payment options according to their preference. The introduction of atone has increased convenience for fotowa customers and provides first-time users with greater peace of mind, preventing abandonment of shopping carts by customers who do not use credit cards and eliminating the uneasiness associated with making payment before delivery.
