Net Protections, Inc. Establishes Subsidiary in Vietnam

On April 18, 2022, Net Protections, Inc. (headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Shin Shibata; “Net Protections”) established a wholly-owned subsidiary in Vietnam, Công ty TNHH Net Protections Vietnam (“Net Protections Vietnam”). Since the local business license application is still in progress, further announcements about business details will be made after its official approval.

Vietnam’s e-commerce market has seen rapid growth in recent years, and is expected to reach USD 39 billion by 2025 (*1). BNPL services have been actively used recently in Vietnam due to the low rate of credit card and bank account holders. Net Protections has been actively reviewing new global business opportunities for its long experience in operating BNPL services in Japan since 2002 and its rapidly growing BNPL service in Taiwan, and finally decided to establish its second overseas subsidiary, Net Protections Vietnam.In addition, since many Vietnamese members have been working in the company since 2015, they have contributed greatly to the establishment of the subsidiary and are expected to play a crucial role for future business development.
Net Protections Vietnam will utilize the assets that it has accumulated from operating its BNPL services within and out of Japan so far to create new businesses in the Vietnamese market.
