Net Protections, Inc., credit tech pioneer creating new credit ecosystem (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Shin Shibata; hereinafter “Net Protections”), and Orient Corporation (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO Tetsuo Iimori; hereinafter “Orico”) have entered into a business partnership for NP Atobarai air, B2C payment for day-to-day service provided by Net Protections. Under this agreement, Orico will start offering NP Atobarai air.
Background of Partnership
Orico has a footprint of 111 branches in all 47 prefectures of Japan, 840,000 participating businesses, and 11.06 million credit card users(※1). Orico provides a variety of payment products and services across an array of sectors, such as online payment solutions and payment processing, with the company’s core businesses being in car loans, shopping credit, credit cards, and guarantees for financial institutions. Net Protections has entered into this business partnership with the aim of driving business forward by forming an alliance with Orico, taking advantage of their solid customer base. This partnership means a rapid expansion in providing participating businesses and consumers with the convenience of Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) services in all BtoC markets. Going forward the companies will continue to envision potential ways of collaborating together in a strong partnership.
