Net Protections, Inc. (headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Shin Shibata; “Net Protections”) has launched atone shops, a web portal where Net Protections’ over 15 million BNPL users can find the best deals for online and physical stores (“stores”).

What is atone shops?

atone shops is the first web portal in Japan that integrates information on stores, campaigns, and reward points for BNPL services*1. atone shops allows members to enjoy special campaigns and shopping at new stores.

atone member stores will be able to conduct campaigns for members and share product information for free, which is expected to attract new atone customers in addition to existing customers.

As a payment service that does not require registering a bank account, credit card information, or adding funds, atone provides a secure and easy payment experience.  However, according to a survey conducted by Net Protections, BNPL users also highly appreciate value for money. Therefore, to meet customers’ needs,  atone has been the only BNPL service offering a reward point program in Japan. With atone shops, customers will be able to find even better deals.

Store benefits
atone has played a role for stores to prevent cart abandonment and lower the risk of losing customers. From now on, atone shops will also serve as a marketing tool to attract and encourage BNPL users to look for deals at the time of payment. atone’s vision

50% of atone members are women in their 20s - 40s. This is because atone has strong coverage in stores where they have high demand. In the future, atone would like to offer a more enjoyable shopping experience for a wider range of users.

To reach a more diverse range of users, Net Protections aims to introduce atone to a wider variety of  products and stores. In addition to the low-priced e-commerce merchandise market, Net Protections will strengthen the presence of atone in market areas that are not usually covered by conventional BNPL services, such as high-priced e-commerce merchandise, non-merchandise, digital content, and physical stores.

By making the service available on any store, Net Protections aims to increase the number of NP members to 20 million, which is currently 15 million people.
