Net Protections, Inc. (Headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Shin Shibata; “Net Protections”) is pleased to announce that NP Atobarai air’s Invoice Card Payment feature, which enables customers to pay by credit card using a QR code on their invoice, has seen robust growth in enterprise adoption one year after its initial release. NP Atobarai air is a payment and billing platform for on-site service providers.
Additionally, Net Protections has successfully launched the feature for KINLISER CO., LTD. (Headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Takanobu Mori, “KINLISER”), a leading provider of housing equipment and water heater installations.
Background: The Trade-off Between Diverse On-Site Payment Options and Operational Burdens
For on-site services such as home renovations and field services, providers have faced a significant challenge: the more they try to accommodate diverse customer payment preferences such as cash, convenience store payments, wire transfers, and credit cards, the more complex their on-site procedures become. Constantly keeping up with evolving payment methods requires ongoing staff training, taking away valuable time that should be spent on customer service and core operations. Ultimately, this complexity has led to increased operational burdens and a higher risk of uncollected payments for businesses.
To address these challenges, Net Protections launched the Invoice Card Payment feature in spring 2025. Over the past year, its adoption has steadily expanded, particularly among businesses in the housing equipment, renovation, energy, and infrastructure sectors. The feature is now adopted by over 20 companies, with transaction volumes surging 25-fold within 12 months of its release. Taking the opportunity of our recent launch with KINLISER, we are pleased to re-announce this feature to the wider market. Moving forward, we plan to expand this offering to a diverse range of industries beyond the housing and renovation sectors.
How It Works & Benefits: Invoice Card Payment

- For customers: No payment is required on the day of service. Customers simply use their smartphones to scan the QR code on the invoice they receive at a later date. They can choose their preferred payment method and complete the transaction on the spot.
- For businesses (on-site staff): No dedicated payment terminals are required. Field staff simply inform the customer that "an invoice will be sent later." This completes the payment guidance seamlessly, completely independent of the site's internet or mobile connectivity.
- For businesses (back office): While offering customers a wider range of payment options, businesses can significantly reduce their administrative costs. NP Atobarai air handles the entire post-service process on your behalf, taking full responsibility for credit screening, invoicing, collection, and payment reminders.
Case Study: KINLISER
KINLISER has used NP Atobarai air for several years and highly values the service. They have now consolidated their major non-cash payment methods (including credit cards) into NP Atobarai air and, as of today, have begun offering the Invoice Card Payment option to their customers.
As a result, on-site payment guidance is seamlessly completed simply by informing customers that "an invoice will be sent from Net Protections." Upon receiving the invoice, customers can choose their preferred payment method and complete the transaction on the spot.
Comment from KINLISER
The introduction of 'NP Atobarai air' has eliminated the need for our customers to have cash on hand on the day of service, while simultaneously easing the administrative burden on our field staff.
With the newly added option to pay by credit card via the invoice, customers can skip on-site payments altogether and conveniently pay by card once their bill arrives. We believe this creates a much more reassuring experience for our customers, especially when they require urgent replacements due to sudden issues like water heater breakdowns.
We will continue to prioritize both customer convenience and an optimized work environment that allows our staff to focus on what they do best. We are excited about the future possibilities and continued evolution of NP Atobarai air.
